Sonic starts running through Windmill City. He is just getting home after finding out Robotnik is after the emeralds again. He runs through and finds out the Death Egg is being rebuilt. As he climbs into the Horizon, he discovers ancient ruins from the past. they are covered in ice and snow. He blazes through and discovers a mutated bat which wields a sword, and defeats it. He jumps from the clouds and into the Ancient Oceans. He flies through and gets to the Launch Base which will carry Robotnik to the Death Egg. Sonic boards the rocket Robotnik is on and goes up with him. He gets stalled by Robotnik's giant machine, and when he finally gets onto the Death Egg loading dock, he finds out Robotnik is on the Death Egg with the Master Emerald. He finds the UNSC army general, Commander Zelu(Tail's Father), and decides to fly to the Death Egg with Tails on the Tornado. They almost reach the Death Egg but get caught in violent winds which make them have to land. So that Sonic would be safe, Tails drops him off above the city. Tails flies off into the distance. Sonic, while falling, hears an unfamiliar sound; the Death Egg is getting ready to fire the Doom Ray. He gets KO'ed by the sound and wakes up outside the city. It is around evening and Sonic is trying to find Tails. He also wondered if the Death Egg fired yet. When he exits the city, he goes through a desert in which Knuckles follows him. When Knuckles is donw fighting Metal Knuckles, he tells Sonic that Tails is dead because the sound KO'ed him and he crashed. Sonic sees Zelu and Knuckles standing beside the wreckage and cries to himself. Zelu tellls Sonic the beam hasn't fired because of an explosion on the Death Egg's side. Sonic gets very angry and vows to get revenge for Tails. He surfs to an island and goes to the center of it. He finds a mountain right below the Death Egg and climbs it. He finds a stairway to the new Loading Dock for the Death Egg and goes up it. Where we left off in Part 6, he is boarding the Death Egg.
